How our service works (how it all works)
Whether your oil tank needs repair, or you’re new to the oil tank world altogether – there’s a chance that you may not know exactly how things work or the impact it may have on your property.
No need to worry! Maskell Heating Services is the specialist supplier and installer of domestic and commercial oil tanks. We also ensure that we comply with tank installation regulations with accreditations from OFTEC and the Environment Agency, as well as keeping up with British Standards. Here’s how it all works:
Your Initial Enquiry
You can reach out to us initially by calling us on 01323 845 087 or contacting us via email at sales@maskellheatingservices.co.uk. We will then follow up and get back to you.
Excellent customer service is what we pride ourselves on, so rest assured that your call or email will be answered rapidly.
Even outside of office hours, we offer a regularly checked answering service so you’re always welcome to call. Ideally, we aim to arrange an on-site appointment with you within 24 hours.
What’s more, you’ll be at the top of our list if you or you’re calling on behalf of a relative that may be considered a vulnerable person – or if we consider that you or your property is at high risk.
The Site Visit
For your safety and peace of mind, all our engineers are DBS checked, carry ID and wear Maskell’s branded clothing and livery. Your engineer is highly trained and professional ready to make an assessment and offer you the solution which is the best, and cost effective, for you.
During the assessment, it will be explained what can and can’t be done based upon the site size and requirements, which will then allow us to discuss the products which are available to you.
We can also discuss where you would like your tank to be placed, and if it is possible. If we are unable to place the tank in your desired location, we will be sure to recommend the best spot for you.
From here, a site plan will be drafted up along with a price quotation where the terms and conditions and payment options will be discussed.
Most installations take no more than a day maximum.
Any additional requirements will be part of the quote, so you won’t need to worry about any hidden costs. Any landscaping is normally arranged by the customer – though we will be able to advise if required.
Upon the completion of the installation, a sign off document will come through from OFTEC on behalf of the council.
You can also look at our maintenance services for an annual check.
Installing Your New Replacement Oil Tank
Ensuring that all OFTEC regulations are closely followed, existing oil is safely transferred to a holding tank to be replaced or cleaned.
If necessary, the base of the tank will be repaired, along with the removal of any inadequate pipework.
A new tank, along with any necessary filters, isolation valves, pipes etc will be installed, in line with regulations. Clean oil is then pumped back into your replacement tank, with a full checking process along the way and upon completion. Your old tank will then be removed, and we will be sure to clean up any mess we have made.
Your property will be exactly the way you left it but with the addition of a new safe and secure oil tank, leaving you to enjoy the comfort of your home with peace of mind.
Aftercare
After installation has been completed, we’ll ask you to sign a job sheet to make sure that you’re satisfied with our work.
We’ll also send you a safety certificate and a maintenance pack which allows you to know you’re in safe hands for as long as you need us.
OFTEC and the Council will be contacted on your behalf, too so there is very little for you to do.
Quality is always our main objective, and we are looking forward to hearing from you.
